Your Storm Is Proof You Obeyed

Country road under breaking storm light
The wind is not always a rebuke.

We like to think a smooth road means we are doing right, and a hard one means we have messed up somewhere.

Look at the disciples in the boat. They were in the storm because they had obeyed. Jesus had sent them. The wind was not proof they had wandered. It was proof they had gone where they were told.

If you are in a hard place and you got there by obedience, do not repent of the assignment. Hold the oar. The One who sent you into the water knows how to walk on it.
